Bianco Viognier Toscana Igt

2019
91 — James SucklingVery attractive white with sliced-apple and green-pear character. Some reduction. Medium body, tangy acidity and a fresh finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.

Rosso Sangiovese Toscana Igt

2019
92 — James SucklingA linear, spicy sangiovese with dried cherry and lemon rind. Some nutmeg and dried almond, too. Medium body. Fresh and delicious now. Enjoy this.
2018
91 — James SucklingDried cherries and plums with some orange peel and walnuts. It’s medium-bodied with round tannins and a savory finish. A little tannic, but very nice to drink.
2017
93 — James SucklingExcellent combination here of dried red cherries and herbs with brighter notes of orange peel and lemon meringue. Medium body, inward-looking tannins and a polished acid/fruit balance. Very suave. Drink now.

Rosso Syrah Toscana Igt

2019
94 — James SucklingLots of rich, luscious fruit with dark-plum and tar aromas and flavors. It's full-bodied with soft yet chewy tannins and plenty of structure. Very delicious to drink, but still challenging, suggesting that another two or three years of bottle age will make it even better. Try after 2023.
2018
92 — James SucklingA focused, fruity red with purity and good energy. Some pepper to the blackberries. It’s medium-bodied with medium tannins and a fresh finish. From organically grown grapes. Very drinkable now.
2017
93 — James SucklingAromas and flavors of dark berries with chocolate, as well as walnuts and spices. Medium to full body. Flavorful finish. Bigger style to this, but a delicious, juicy wine. Drink now.

Fontarca Viognier Toscana Igt

2018
94 — James SucklingA tangy, vertical viognier with sliced apple and pear character. Medium to full body, tight and fruity palate with a core of acidity and phenolics through the center palate. Real viognier here. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.
2017
91 — James SucklingA very fresh viognier with none of the soapy and kitschy character this grape often shows when grown in warmer climate zones. In fact, it has a fresh, peachy personality and lively acidity that drives the clean, dry finish. Drink now.
2015
90 — Antonio Galloni Vinous
2014
93 — James Suckling“Beautiful dried apple and lemon character with pineapple. Full and flavorful. Long finish. Serious viognier. Drink now.”

Bosco Syrah Toscana Igt

2018
95 — James SucklingThis is beautiful, complete syrah with blackberry, black-olive, light tar and mahogany character. It's full and chewy, yet the tannins are round and attractive. Give it time to open and come together. Spicy at the end. Try after 2023.
2015
92 — James SucklingA balanced, firm syrah with berries and hints of nutmeg and light chocolate that follow through to a medium body. Fresh finish. Drink now.
2014
95 — FalstaffBrilliant ruby with slightly brightening edge. Appealing nose with notes of blueberries, tobacco and black pepper. Rich, dense tannin, acts but notharsh, well integrated, powerful, showing firm pressure, amazing juicy for such a full bodied wine.
2013
96 - James Suckling
2010
94 — Antonio Galloni Vinous Media“D’Alessandro’s 2010 Syrah il Bosco presents compelling varietal nuances with distinctly Tuscan accents, all in an exotic, mid-weight style full of allure.

93+ — Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate“The 2009 Cortona Syrah Il Bosco offers all the plush softness you want from the grape (Syrah) and the place (Tuscany).

Migliara Syrah Toscana Igt

2017
95 — James SucklingSweet tobacco, slate, tea and black fruit on the nose with some tar and licorice. Full-bodied and chewy with lots of structured and compressed fruit and tannins. It has plenty energy and verve for the hot vintage of 2017. Very drinkable now, but better in two years or so.
Top Wines Guida Slow Wine
2016
95 — James SucklingA syrah that shows lots of crushed-berry, walnut and dried-meat character. Chocolate, too. It’s full-bodied with lots of ripe fruit and ripe tannins, yet tensioned and polished. Needs a year to two to soften a bit, but already impressive. Try in 2022 and onwards.
2015
94 — James SucklingRipe and generous but, oh, so elegant, this is a delicious Syrah that proves this grape can give great wines in Italy. Nice, lively, dry tannins and a long, ripe yet delicate finish. Drink or hold.
2012
95 — James Suckling
2010
96 — Antonio Galloni Vinous Media
2008
98 — James Suckling “12 Vini Toscani da Collezione” “This is phenomenal. What I expect in a top Syrah, with spice, black pepper, mineral, and dark fruits. Full and velvety, with lots of everything. Powerful and intense. Best wine ever from here. Drink or hold.”.
